Further Florida cruise cancellations, delays and some go-aheads

Disney Wish's Sept. 30 cruise from Port Canaveral is canceled and the ship is now expected to return to port Oct. 2 then depart as scheduled on Oct. 3
As powerful Hurricane Ian pounded Florida's Gulf Coast Wednesday and moved inland, more cruises on the state's Atlantic side were canceled or delayed/revised.

Disney Wish's Sept. 30 cruise, three nights, from Port Canaveral is canceled and the ship is now expected to return to port Oct. 2 then depart as scheduled on Oct. 3.

Disney Fantasy may arrive at Canaveral on Saturday later in the day than originally scheduled, so the Oct. 1 embarkation may be delayed. Disney Cruise Line will notify passengers if that's the case.

The line expects Disney Dream to sail as scheduled from PortMiami on Oct. 1.

MSC Divina return delayed, three-nighter canceled

MSC Divina's four-night cruise that left Port Canaveral on Sunday included calls at Nassau and Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve but the ship sailed further east to Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, to avoid bad weather. It remained there Wednesday.

Before the cruise, passengers were advised conditions in Florida could prevent returning to Port Canaveral on Thursday morning and the current plan is to be back Friday morning, weather permitting.

As a result, MSC Divina's Sept. 29 three-night cruise is canceled. Passengers may request a refund, reschedule their cruise or accept a future cruise credit voucher.

A subset of passengers were scheduled to embark Sept. 29 and continue on the following weeklong cruise for a total of 10 nights. They have the additional option of accepting a prorated refund for embarking Sunday and sailing only the seven-night portion of their trip.

Mariner of the Seas cruise delayed/cut short

The Sept. 29 departure of Royal Caribbean International's Mariner of the Seas from Port Canaveral is rescheduled to Oct. 1. It will return, as planned, Oct. 3. The ship will visit Perfect Day at CocoCay but not Nassau.

Passengers may cancel for a full refund. Those who go on the shortened cruise will get the value of three days of their fare as a refundable onboard credit plus a prorated refundable onboard credit for any pre-cruise packages purchased, including RoyalUp. Pre-purchased Royal Caribbean shore excursions at Nassau will be refunded as a refundable onboard credit. Any unused balance from these credits will be refunded to the card associated with the onboard account.

Independence of the Seas cruise delayed/cut short

Independence of the Seas' Sept. 30 cruise from Port Canaveral will also depart Oct. 1 and return, as scheduled, Oct. 3. The abbreviated cruise will miss CocoCay but call at Nassau Sunday, as planned.

Passengers may cancel for a refund. If they sail, the terms are similar to those for Mariner passengers, but based on the cruise being cut short two days.

Scarlet Lady on schedule

Virgin Voyages said Scarlet Lady's Sept. 30 'Dominican Daze' cruise from PortMiami is still on.

Harmony of the Seas, Mardi Gras and Carnival Freedom, too

Harmony of the Seas' Oct. 2 sailing from Port Canaveral is expected to operate as planned.

Likewise, Carnival Cruise Line expects the Oct. 1 cruises of Mardi Gras and Carnival Freedom from Port Canaveral to go ahead as planned.
