Princess Cruises President John Padgett said the line will return to Dover in 2024
Coral Princess arrived in Dover for the first time as part of a world cruise from New Zealand, with passengers treated to exclusive entertainment in the terminal.

Throughout the day, a local storyteller has been providing an interactive behind-the-scenes account of Dover’s history and heritage for the ship’s passengers.

Coral Princess will head to New York this evening for a 55-night around the world cruise – part of a 107-day round-trip world cruise from Auckland that started May 31.

Line to visit Dover in 2024

‘The world awaits the guests on board Coral Princess who are setting sail from Dover on a fantastic global journey,’ said Princess Cruise President John Padgett. ‘Our thanks go to the Port of Dover for providing our guests with a fantastic experience. It’s a great partnership and we look forward to returning next year.’

Port of Dover’s head of cruise, Sonia Limbrick said ‘it is no wonder’ Dover had been chosen, given it is ‘a world-class cruise port situated next to a stunning new marina and the dramatic views of the White Cliffs and castle…’

She added, ‘We are thrilled to welcome the wonderful Coral Princess to Dover today for her debut visit; it’s certainly a sight to remember seeing her take pride of place on our waterfront on this beautiful summer’s day… With plans for further growth and expansion, we can’t wait to welcome even more extraordinary calls like this in the future.’

Limbrick will step back from her current role at the port later this year.
