Pam Hoffee, president of Avalon Waterways, is the first in a lineup of global cruise industry executives named as a speaker for Cruise360 Australasia 2023.

Hosted by Cruise Lines International Association Australasia, the Southern Hemisphere’s biggest annual cruise industry event will be held at the Royal International Convention Centre in Brisbane on September 7.

First out of Sydney

This will be the first Cruise360 Australasia held outside of Sydney since the inaugural event in 2014.

It had been scheduled for Brisbane in 2020, ahead of the opening of the Brisbane International Cruise Terminal at Luggage Point, but was postponed in the early stages of the pandemic.

CLIA Australasia MD Joel Katz said Hoffee will explain the evolution underway in river cruising and the opportunities this presents for travel agents and their clients.

Fantastic insight

‘Pam Hoffee has led Avalon Waterways through a time of great innovation in river cruising, so will be able to provide fantastic insight into what river cruise guests are seeking and how the industry has changed to broaden their experiences,’ Katz said.

He said Cruise360 Australasia 2023 is expected to attract around 600 delegates, with a welcome night on September 6.
